Ambry is sitting in her "fort" she made by tipping the rocking chair over and hanging some towels on when she says this to me.
Ambry--"Mom, can I have some lonely time? And you say, 'What is lonely time?'"
Me--"All right. What is lonely time, Ambry?"
Ambry--"It is when you get to be all alone. So can I be all alone, Mom? You are really starting to bug me."
Thanks, Ambry. Thanks a lot. So Piper and I are going to go play and give Ambry some lonely time.

5 Minutes for Mom is giving away a Dyson...a PINK Dyson! So what if the odds of winning it are terrible? I am still entering the drawing. I can't resist. So what if I am comment #1782? I still have a chance of winning...although it is a very small chance. So head over here if you would also like a very small chance of winning.

Last night I got all of my pears done and canned. Yeah! Thanks to Esther stopping by and helping me out, I was only up to 1:00 last night. If she hadn't stopped by, I would probably have been up till at least 2:00. I got 28 jars done and all but one of them sealed. I will be happy if I don't have to ever peel another pear again! I seriously thought that my nose hairs had been singed with the smell of pears. I had to take a shower because I smelled like one giant sticky pear and also felt like one. While I was takinga shower I could still smell the pears. It was like they had attached their smell to me...permanently. Today is a little better, although it doesn't make me as happy as I had hoped when I looked at my jars of pears this morning. I think there should be more...lots and lots more! Oh well. At least we'll have some good fruit to eat this winter.
This past Saturday, Esther and I took the kids raspberry picking. I was really surprised that Ambry did as good as she did. She actually managed to pick quite a few. At least she enjoyed raspberry picking more than blueberry picking. We went for about an hour and picked about 5 pounds. I went back by myself later that afternoon and picked another 4 pounds. I froze two bags (1/2 gallon bags) of them and made jam out of the rest. Here are a couple pics of us picking raspberries.

Have a good Wednesday!

Man, oh man, have I been neglecting the blog, or what?!? Please don't answer that. I know I have been terrible. Anyway, there just hasn't been a whole lot of anything going on. Absolutely nothing too terribly exciting. I canned a bunch of my banana peppers. I got chased by a dog while running. I fell while I was running (and I thought that only happened as you got older. :) See? Nothing too terribly exciting. I did see this on Esther's blog and thought it was very cute. I actually don't have an apron at all. So how much fun would it be to have one. I'm never too sure what to do with one but since I am not always the neatest or cleanest of bakers, I am sure it would come in handy.
Since I have no other exciting or interesting enough news, I'll let you all know that I am alive and still kickin'. I just don't have anything going on right now. Actually, I am going to go and buy a bunch of pears to can (which will be my first time ever canning those) so I'll let you know how that goes. I am also going raspberry picking tomorrow to make jam and to freeze some for the winter. AND...I am going garage saling today! YEAH! If I find anything totally awesome, fun, and cool, I'll let you know. :) Have a great Friday!

Last Thursday I didn't have to watch the little 6 month old baby boy that I normally have. What a nice day off! I only had Lindzi to watch and I decided that we were going out. We first made a trip to the library and then went up to the gardens. It was a such a nice day for it.

Just as we were leaving, I noticed all these old cars parked around. There must have been some exhibit going on. The girls thought they were so cool so we took a couple pictures by them. It is amazing how different cars look now a days.
