See that beautiful, red strawberry on the bottom there? I have lots of those growing right now. Yeah!!! I won't have a ton of strawberries, but it will be fun to pick the ones I do have.
I am hopeful that next year I will have even more strawberry plants. They multiply so quickly! They have all ready more than doubled since last year. I would really like to have a decent size strawberry patch. Maybe someday...
I also put in the rest of the garden too. 4 green bell pepper plants, 2 yellow bell pepper plants, 2 red bell pepper plants, 2 tomatos, 1 grape tomato, 2 jalapeno, 1 banana pepper, 1 zucchini, 1 yellow summer squash, and 1 cucumber. Hopefully, they will all grow good and we will have an abundance of veggies!

Good grief, it has been a while again! Not a whole lot has been going on--just busy with lots of little things. I did a garage sale two weekends in a row, everyone had the flu (including Piper and Gerrit), we redid the front landscape of our house (with LOTS of help from Gerrit), then barked around the front and part of the back of our house, planted the garden (yeah!!!), opened the pool...the list could still go on.

So to make up for my absence, here are a TON of pics from the parade--Memorial Day--that we went to. I only have pics of Piper because we were supposed to meet my mom there with Kasey and Rosie-Ambry spent the night at their house. Oh well. It was a gorgeous day for a parade...very bright and sunny...Piper loved it!

Here Piper sees a dog and I think you can tell by her face, just how excited she is. :)

I love this pic of her standing there with her basket. She would just hold out her basket and people would come up and put candy in it. It was so cute. Needless to say, her basket was completely full by the time we left--we didn't even stay for the whole thing. It was over an hour and half long!!! We stayed for about an hour, maybe a little bit more, and thought that was plenty long enough.

Have a good Wednesday!!!

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.
You make me happy when skies are gray.

You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Just a quick pic of Kasey and Piper cuddling together on the couch. Piper was such a little love bug that day. Happy Monday!

I bought $420.41 worth of products.
I spent $19.36 in cash.
I used $123.89 worth of ECB's.
I got back $171.91 worth of ECB's.

Not too shabby. :)

A quick trip to CVS yielded these goodies. It was May 1 so the new monthly deals came out so of course I had to make a quick trip to snatch some up. I met Tara there and here is what I got.
Transaction 1:
  1. 3 Adidas deoderant for $4.00 a piece
  2. 2 Aquafresh for $2.99 a piece
Came to $20.95 before tax. I used $13.00 in coupons($3/$10 Adidas cpn, $1.00 Aquafresh cpn, $3/$15 CVS cpn, $4/$20 CVS beauty cpn, $2.00 Aquafresh) and $6.00 in ECB's. I spent $1.43 in cash and got back $20.95 in ECB's!

Transaction 2:
  1. 1 Freestyle Lite Glucose Monitor regularly $74.99 on sale for $10.00
  2. 2 Colgate 360 toothbrushes for $3.99 a piece
  3. 1 Aquafresh toothpaste for $2.99
I got $85.96 worth of stuff if you count the before sale price of the monitor. Otherwise it would be $20.97. The bigger # just sounds so much better. :) I used $7.50 in coupons($3/$15 CVS cpn, $4/$20 CVS cpn, 2 $1.00 Colgate cpn, 1 $1.50 Aquafresh cpn) and $12.00 in ECB's. I paid $1.68 in cash and got back $20.97 in ECB's!

Transaction 3:
  1. 1 Dr. Scholl's gel insoles (not pictured) $14.99
  2. 1 Colgate 360 toothbrush for $3.99
  3. 2 Sharpie's markers on sale for $1.25 a piece
  4. 1 Crayola erasable markers on sale $1.25
  5. 1 Pledge Lemon furniture spray for $4.59
Total before tax was $23.57. I used $10.50 in coupons($2.00 CVS Pledge cpn, $1.50 Pledge cpn, $1.00 Colgate cpn, $3.00 for Dr. Scholl's, $3/$15 CVS) and $10.00 in ECB's. I paid $3.58 in cash (I didn't have any small ECB's left anymore) and got back $3.99 in ECB's. Not a great deal, but at the same time, I got some things that we could use.

All in all, I got $65.49 worth of stuff, paid $6.69 cash, used $28.00 ECB's, and got back $45.91 ECB's. Woot!!!
