Just a quick pic of the girls getting ready for bed. Like Ambry's hair? I braided all of it so it would be a little "curly" as Ambry calls it. This is the girls favorite time before bed. They both climb in Ambry's bed and "read" books together for about half an hour before their actual bed time. :)

I got the new Pottery Barn Kids magazine yesterday in the mail. Drool! I love looking at their ideas for rooms. These two were some of my favs. I am going to try and make the boards that are over the top of the beds. I think they are so cute. The pic in the catalog was a little bit better than this one though. In the mag you could see all 4 boards. SO very cute!
Underneath the boards, I would like these bookcases. I like the vibrant colors of the boards in the above picture a little better than these ones. Anyway, I asked Caleb if he could build me these, since come one, they don't look all that complicated. :) He just smiled and said, "Will I? And do I want to?" So it looks like I will be haunting craigslist and the clearance aisles of the store looking for bookcases similar to these.

I did ask if I could build them though. I mean, come on, they don't have any fancy edging (or whatever you call it) on them. Not to mention, I think it is a good thing to know how to build stuff. I should try out for that show on TLC...the take home a carpenter or something...maybe he would show me how to build some stuff. :)

Need I say anything???

Honestly, I took about 20 pics of her running around like this but I don't think they would be as amusing to anyone else...but every time that I look at the pics, I can't help but smile. :)

All right, this is the second time I am going to be posting this. I accidentally deleted all of this the first time around. Hopefully I can do this post without any major accidents.

Here are my deals for the week so far. First stop was at Rite Aid where I bought:
  1. 1 Lysol disinfectant spray
  2. 1 Garnier conditioner
  3. 1 4pk of lightbulbs
  4. 1 Crest Pro Health toothpaste
  5. 4 Jane makeup items
  6. 1 2pk GUM toothbrushes
Total was $32.18. Jane makeup was B1G1 and I had $17.74 in coupons. Total OOP was $10.41. There is a mistake on my receipt though and I will have to go back to fix it. One of the Jane makeups did not ring up as B1G1 despite what the sign directly underneath it said. :( So I will still get $2.24 back in cash hopefully. Also I will get back $7.48 after mail in rebates. So total OOP of pocket after MIR will be $2.93, and hopefully after $2.24 back from Jane makeup mistake, total will be $.69! Yeah!
Second stop was at CVS where I bought:
  1. 1 Schick Titanium razor
  2. 1 3pk of Irish Spring Soap bars
  3. 1 small Tresemme hair spray
Total was $12.48 after tax. I had $6.30 in coupons and used $5.29 in ECB's. I spent $.45 OOP and received $6.00 ECB.
Last stop was at Walgreens where I bought:
  1. 2 6pks of Charmin
  2. 1 Garnier hairspray
  3. 4 boxes of Life cereal
  4. 2 boxes of Celestial Seasonings Tea
  5. 1 Excedrin migraine
  6. 20 pks of seeds for my garden and flower beds
Total was $35.97 after tax. I had $10.46 in coupons and used $12.00 register rewards. Total OOP was $5.54. I will get $3.99 back after MIR and also fot $4.00 RR. I then turned around and used the RR's on 2 Crayola Color Wonders, 2 Hello Kitty dolls, and 1 bag of chocolate mints. I then spent $.48 OOP on that order. After all of that total cash OOP was $6.02. After MIR I will have spent $2.03 for everything. Yeah!
In conclusion... I spent $16.88. I still have $2.24 coming back in cash from Rite Aid and $11.47 after MIR. Total out of pocket once I receive the mail in rebates will be $3.17. And that $3.17 bought $80.63 worth of stuff.

Oh how I love getting good deals. And a huge part of knowing what is on sale is thanks to Money Saving Mom. If you don't read that blog, you should. Now. :) That is all for me tonight. Happy deal hunting this week!

Tracy over at Mama of Boys nominated me for a blog award. Thank you!
Here are the rules:
Blogging With a Purpose Award Rules:

1. Awarded parties must nominate five people who have not received the award.

2. The blogs that receive the award must serve some purpose.

3. In their post about the award they need to link back to this entry.

4. Awarded parties must post the award banner on their site. The banner must remain linked to the above linked site.

I would like to nominate:

Like Merchant Ships: I LOVE reading how she decorates on a budget and her meal plans and everything else. And anyone who tries cooking like this for a week definitely deserves an award!

The Lazy Organizer: I love reading her Smart Habit Saturdays. She gives such great ideas on how to form better habits. I also adore her hats that she knits. They are so cute! Check this one out.

Andrea Burns: She takes the most adorable pictures of her 2 boys and also has a very cute shop where she sells her own designs. She also has a very helpful photoshop Friday on her blog that has helped me learn more about fixing my own pictures. Check out this cute pic of her boys that she made for Valentine's day.

Brenda Acuncius: She is another photographer extraordinaire. Oh how I wish that I could take pics like this...and this...and this. Maybe someday. Although I think that it helps that she has such an unbelievably cute daughter. :)

Crystal at Biblical Womanhood: I constantly read her blog for inspiration. I love Frugal Friday hosted at her blog and have come across some great ideas that I have implemented in my own home. She also has another blog, Money Saving Mom, that has been awarded also. I LOVE her other blog also and it has helped to save me so much time and $$.

Thanks to Tracy for nominating me!

Just a couple pics of the girls sleeping. I love how sweet and 'innocent' they look when they are sleeping. If only it would last when they wake up. :)

Notice all of the little stuffed animals Ambry has in bed with her? She is literally obsessed with animals lately. We go to the store, an animal comes with. We go to church and an animal comes with. Although only into the car when we go to church. Then she 'lays' them down for a nap while we have church. She even brings a blanket for them to stay warm.

Princess Piper

I absolutely LOVE the smiles that she gives me lately. Huge cheeky grins that just make you want to laugh. Oh how we all love you, Miss Pippi!

Caleb pointed this article out to me in the paper tonight and all we both could think was how ridiculous! The title of the article? 'City should have no religious beliefs:Foundation wants (city mentioned here) statement's God reference removed' Basically an organization that wants the state and church to be separate wants a reference to city officials striving "to serve God" to be removed from it's Web site.

It also states the city's mission statement and I can not believe that people would make that big of a deal out of having a reference to God in their statement. Maybe I shouldn't be as surprised as I am, but it is so ridiculous how far people go out of their way to get away from God. Maybe it is because they don't like having their sins pushed into their face by any mention of God. Either way, I think it is ridiculous!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Here are some of the Valentine's that we made for dad. Ignore the sloppy handwriting fo mine. :) We were in a bit of a hurry after getting home from errands yesterday and I completely lost track of time. So we had to quick get these done before dad could see them. Anyway, we put these on the seat of his truck so he could have a nice little surprise when he went to work this morning.
Look at how excited Ambry is with her Valentine. :)

Hope you have a day full of love and happiness! Piper especially hopes this...can you tell? :)

Okay, so I know that I shouldn't be laughing at this lady, but come on. This is a picture of our newspaper lady attempting to deliver the paper. (And don't get me started on the full conversion van that has got to be a huge gas guzzler.) She got stuck in my neighbor's driveway! She has officially been stuck there for over a half an hour.
**EDIT**Just thought I should add that I do not exactly like this lady too much. She seems to always be yelling at her kids, and I mean yelling, when they are delivering the paper. One day this summer one of her kids tried to tell her she was going to hit the neighbor's trash cans when she was backing out of their driveway and she responded by yelling back that she could see the trash cans and don't tell her how to drive. There was no response from the kid. Then yesterday when they got stuck in the snow, I could hear her yelling from across the street at her kids. That was when I got my camera and took the picture of her getting stuck. Caleb met her yesterday and without knowing my opinion, came in the house and said that he didn't think she was the nicest lady. So not that my amusement makes it any better, but I couldn't help taking the picture when I remembered her yelling at her kids...

On a sidenote, that is how bad the weather here has turned yet again.
Sidenote: saw this over at Rocks in My Dryer.

Bridge Safety Checks From MSNBC.

So after that, everyone who lives in the area had better be oh so very, very careful driving because the roads and apparently some bridges are not in good condition.

This past week I have lived in the house of sickies. Ambry ran a fever for 3 days, Piper had such a horrible cough and double ear infections, Caleb got the cold and a touch of the flu, and I have a horrible cough too. Hopefully with the start of a new week, everyone will start to get better.

I made a trip to CVS this past week again and here is what I got:

  6. 1 Garnier conditioner, $3.99
  7. Not pictured is a little "makeup" bag I got for Ambry marked 75% off. It had some light pink nail polish and 2 little chapsticks. She was giddy as all get out over it too. :) $1.49

Yeah! Another great deal at CVS! I also got back $24.48 in ECB's so I almost doubled the amount of ECB's that I used on the purchase. If only you could see my face right now. You would see a gigantic grin of absolute giddiness over such a great, grand, super deal. :)

Happy Monday!
